Season of Thankfulness

Dear Friends,
In this holiday season we’re reminded of how much we have to be thankful for. Most importantly, we are grateful for a supportive community who encourages and contributes to our cause. The farm continues to grow, change and find its way as a new generation moves in, taking hold of and ensuring the longevity of our longtime goal – maintaining this unique historic farm to share – in the name of education, hospitality, and memory-making. We’re so appreciative of each and every one of our donors, volunteers and visitors who continue to make our mission a reality.
Earlier this year, we held our first ever fundraiser dinner and auction, “Supper & Social.” We were so humbled by the encouragement we received in putting on this event, and spent a lovely evening surrounded by supportive community members, raising funds to help ensure we are able to continue the work we strive to do here. This includes the restoration of our 1930’s barn and early 1900’s blacksmith shop, which are pivotal pieces of the era and lifestyle we aim to depict.
This upcoming year marks 100 years since the historic Log House was built in 1920, and with that anniversary approaching, we’re excited to look ahead toward new opportunities and events that allow us to share the farm. Funds raised at our dinner and auction will enable us to introduce “Farm Days” next summer on the first weekend of June, July and August where we will have the historic farm and buildings open to the public. We will also be doing a special “100 Year Celebration” of the Log House during the July weekend and would love for you to attend and help celebrate!
If you have had an invaluable experience at Pomeroy Farm, and embrace our mission of maintaining and preserving history and sharing farm life – past and present – with the community, we humbly ask that you consider us and our cause during this giving season. Your generous donations have kept us going for many years and we hope to be around for many more.
Many thanks and blessings to you all!
Warm Regards,
Megan Miller
