How many guests can you accommodate?
Our prices include tables and chairs for up to 200 guests, but we can accommodate more if needed. (Additional tables are $10 each, additional chairs are $4 each.) We have done weddings as large as 400 guests.
Do you have a covered space available for my reception and ceremony?
While most choose to have an outdoor ceremony, our indoor pavilion can accommodate an indoor ceremony for around 150 guests. (We can fit 17-18 guest tables and 2 buffet tables comfortably inside, or 22-23 tables without buffet tables.) The indoor pavilion is a great rain contingency plan if the weather does not permit an outdoor ceremony.
What is your alcohol policy?
We allow beer, wine, champagne, and cider (no hard alcohol). All alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender from behind a bar. A banquet permit is required as well (about $10.) A bartender can usually be hired through your caterer, but there are also independent options as well.
Do you require event insurance?
Yes, we require you to have event insurance. Your caterer and bartender must carry liability insurance as well. (Your policy will cover you if self-catering.)
Do you have preferred vendors?
While we can offer you a list of suggested vendors, we do not require that you use anyone specific. It’s your day, hire who you like!
What is your wedding rental period?
Our wedding customers are renting the venue from 10:00 am - 10:00 pm the day of the wedding. You will have an additional hour (until 11:00 pm) for clean up. Vendors may not arrive prior to your rental period (although they are welcome to schedule a tour beforehand or join you for your walk through). Bringing items on site or decorating before your stated rental period is unfortunately not permitted.
Can I hold my rehearsal at the farm?
You may book an hour block of time prior to your event to do a ceremony rehearsal if you wish. Availability for rehearsals is dependant on Pomeroy Farm's event schedule. We begin scheduling rehearsals in April on a first come first served basis. Rehearsal dinners may be accommodated on site for an additional fee.
Do you offer a military discount?
All active duty and military veterans will receive a $250 discount off the total price of their wedding package. Valid identification is requested.
What is your payment policy?
We require a non-refundable $200 booking fee to reserve your date. Once that payment is received, your date will be held for 30 days, upon which your first down payment of $2,000 is required (non-refundable). Your final payment of the remaining amount will be due 30 days prior to your event.
Are pets allowed at my wedding?
As a general rule, we don’t allow pets on our grounds, primarily due to having various farm animals around. That said, we are typically able to accommodate animals for wedding purposes when requested. Most pets are allowed as long as they remain on a leash and are cleaned up after. Horses and other larger animals may be allowed on a case by case basis.
Does Pomeroy Cellars offer a package for weddings?
Pomeroy Cellars offers wine club prices to Pomeroy Farm Weddings with a minimum purchase of 2 cases, and they will offer a complimentary tasting to our wedding clients who are considering their wine. Please reach out to Pomeroy Cellars directly for further information.
Do you allow weddings in your off seasons?
We are only able to book weddings during our official wedding season (June-September). Exceptions may be considered for "micro" weddings (30 or fewer guests) or elopements.
